Plano is two cities with one name. West Plano, zips 75024 and 75093, is Legacy West, Willow Bend, Kings Ridge and Deerfield: 1990s–2000s executive housing wrapped around the corporate campuses on the Tollway. East Plano, 75074, 75075, 75023 and 75025, is older and closer to US-75: 1970s–1980s neighborhoods around downtown Plano, Collin Creek and Parker Road, where the DART Red Line ends.
The Mercedes split the same way. West Plano is where the S-Class W221 and W222, GLS X166, G-Class and AMG cars live, many bought new and now eight to twelve years old with ABC or Airmatic underneath. East Plano holds the second-owner W212 and W204, GLK X204 and ML W166 that came down from those same driveways a few years later.
The franchised department on US-75 is closer for almost every Plano address. We also do not take warranty work: if the car is under factory coverage, an extended plan, the 25-year SBC hydraulic unit coverage on a W211, or the M272 balance shaft class action window on a MY2005–2007 engine, go there and let the coverage pay.
The route south is US-75 to I-635 east and the Skillman/Audelia or Jupiter exit into Lake Highlands. The surface alternative is Plano Road, due south through Richardson and Lake Highlands to Garland Road; slower per mile and far more predictable at 5 pm.
